Sitting down on the subway to find the bench warmed for you by the former occupant is pleasant in winter and revolting in summer. Other things fall into this division: black tights, hot tea, flannel, Carmex. And some are the opposite: wind, rain, long car rides, wet hair, Bain de Soleil.

In summer i say bring on winter. in winter i say bring on summer.

i forgot how freaking cold winter gets.
